Social Media... Are you doing it wrong?
Social Media is a great tool for communicating with your current clients. But it does NOT build new clients. Even when you pay for advertising on Facebook, you aren't getting the clicks from the people that you want on your page or that will actively engage with your page. That being said, are you doing Social Media wrong? Facebook: Do you have a business and people have to "add as a friend" to connect with your page? Then you need set up a Business Page right now... don't wait.

This is the best way to communicate with your audience and allow them to do what you always want them to do, SHARE your information with their online friends. Also makes it easier to set up events and cross program content updates to Twitter, Pinterest, Intagram, etc with a minor amount of effort.
Next, claim your Facebook Business page and rename it for your business. That means you need to get ride of the long handle, Facebook.com/pages/201560654whatever0160.thisisridiculouslylong... and instead have something neat and clean like, www.Facebook.com/JillAgainTravels
Do not use an acronym. They are dumb and annoying and too easily forgotten.
Do use your name or a shorter version. You just need enough for people to understand that it is you.
Fill out all or as much of the information as possible in the About page. The more information you have here, the better it is for building SEO (Search Engine Optimization) for your main website.
Remember: Social Media is quick, timely communication for your existing audience. Remind them why they clicked Like for your page with personality and humor, don't bogue them down forced advertising.
